Mavlo separates access from commitment amounts. The web app offers Mavlo Pro through Stripe and RevenueCat, while the worldwide Store build uses Apple In-App Purchase. Both offer the same four membership terms. A member separately chooses the maximum amount that may apply to a verified commitment shortfall and saves a card with Stripe.

Choose the same four membership terms on web or iPhone.
The web app offers monthly, three-month, six-month and yearly Mavlo Pro subscriptions through Stripe and RevenueCat. The checkout supplies the price, currency, billing period, renewal terms and cancellation route before purchase.
The current UK TestFlight beta uses a temporary server-granted entitlement and does not require a purchase. Existing Apple, TestFlight and other valid server memberships remain attached to the same Mavlo account when it is used on web.
At public App Store launch, the Store build is configured to offer 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month terms through Apple In-App Purchase. StoreKit supplies the current localized price before purchase, and Apple handles billing, renewal, cancellation and subscription refund requests under its policies.
Commitment amount
Choose a maximum that is meaningful and affordable.
The shortfall amount is separate from membership and is saved against a Stripe card only after the commitment terms are clear. Mavlo never stores the full card number.
The real-user selected floor is £5-equivalent for a normal commitment and £1-equivalent for a Challenge. The signed terms in the app are the authority for the currency, maximum and commitment-specific calculation.
Continuous goals are proportional. Challenges are binary.
For distance, moving time, Zone 2, steps and sleep, Mavlo applies the exact verified shortfall proportion to the selected maximum and rounds once at the end. Meeting 90% of a supported continuous target therefore proposes 10% of the selected maximum—not the full amount.
A Strava Challenge asks one activity to meet the complete target in 24 hours. A fully verified miss proposes the selected Challenge amount; an uncertain window closes without a fee.
Several safeguards can correctly produce no charge.
A completed target costs no shortfall amount. Uncertain evidence receives grace. An evaluation outside active membership creates no charge. A cancelled future week is not evaluated, and a submitted dispute removes charge eligibility under current policy.
These rules are why “miss a workout and automatically pay the full amount” is not an accurate description of Mavlo.

The 24-hour review shows the source, target result, remaining requirement, proposed amount and deadline. A dispute pauses settlement immediately.
Mavlo’s current launch policy resolves every dispute in the member’s favour and refunds a disputed amount if it was already captured.

What does Mavlo membership cost?

Does saving a Stripe card take a payment?
