Reliable evidence met the target. No shortfall charge.

Make your Apple Health goal harder to ignore
Apple Health can record the steps already woven through your day. Mavlo turns that record into a weekly commitment: choose a sustainable step total, grant read-only HealthKit access, and follow verified progress. A chargeable shortfall requires complete daily coverage and a final post-window sync, so silence is not mistaken for failure.
56ksteps a week

Verified data
Mavlo checks evidence, not a self-reported tick.
Reliable positive evidence completes progress. If data is missing, late or uncertain, Mavlo uses grace instead of treating uncertainty as a chargeable miss.
One target, seven days
Ordinary daily movement can build one weekly result.
Mavlo supports a weekly Apple Health step total rather than requiring the same number every day. This lets a quieter day and a busier day contribute honestly to the same commitment window.
Activation requires a proven, nonzero historical read. That check helps confirm that HealthKit permission and step evidence are working before the commitment begins.
Start from your baseline, not a universal slogan.
There is no official step target that fits every adult. A practical approach is to observe several ordinary days, total a normal week, then add a modest amount of walking you can repeat.
For example, someone averaging about 7,000 steps a day might begin with a weekly target near their present total plus a few planned walks. That is a goal-design example, not medical advice or a rule that everyone should pursue 10,000 steps a day.
No complete coverage, no chargeable shortfall.
To establish a negative result safely, Mavlo needs evidence coverage for every date in the stored-timezone window and a final sync after the week ends. A missing day, stale final read or other uncertainty produces grace rather than a chargeable miss.
Reliable positive evidence can still complete the goal. The stricter coverage rule matters when the system would otherwise draw a negative conclusion from silence.
HealthKit access is read-only and bounded to the commitment.
The iOS app reads step data on the device and sends only bounded evidence needed to establish the weekly total, coverage and freshness for the chosen commitment. Mavlo cannot write data into Apple Health.
Apple Health evidence is not used for advertising, marketing profiles or data sales. Permission can be changed in the Health app, although removing it can stop an active commitment from receiving new evidence.
Example: 56,000 verified steps in a week
A member could choose 56,000 steps across seven days—an average of 8,000, but evaluated as a weekly total. Progress might be uneven while still completing the same target.
If complete evidence after the final sync showed a 10% shortfall, the proposed amount would be 10% of the selected maximum. If coverage were incomplete, the outcome would be grace instead.

Questions, answered
The details people usually ask first.
Does Mavlo require 10,000 steps every day?
No. The member chooses a weekly total. There is no universal official 10,000-step prescription, so the target should reflect the person’s baseline and ability.
Can Mavlo write to Apple Health?
No. Mavlo’s HealthKit access for step verification is read-only.
What if my phone does not sync the final day?
A chargeable shortfall requires complete date coverage and a final post-window sync. Missing or stale evidence should produce grace, not a chargeable miss.
Is Mavlo endorsed by Apple?
No endorsement or sponsorship is implied. Apple Health is a member-authorised verification source on iOS.
