Mavlo guides
Practical guides to staying consistent
These guides explain the decisions around a commitment before the app enters the picture: which kind of accountability fits, how to choose a repeatable goal, what research says about financial consequences, and where the evidence has limits. Each article is reviewed for product accuracy and links its claims to named sources.
Start with the problem
Build a routine that can survive an ordinary week.
Motivation changes. A useful commitment is small enough to survive work, weather and imperfect sleep while still being meaningful enough to notice.
Start with the consistency guide, then choose the running or steps article if you need a concrete weekly target.

Choose the mechanism
Accountability is not one universal product category.
A coach, a friend, a group, a self-checked habit and an automatically verified commitment all create different forms of accountability. The useful question is which evidence, response and consequence you actually need.
The category guide explains those trade-offs without pretending Mavlo is the right fit for every person.
Read the limitations
Financial-accountability research deserves careful language.
Some trials report improved activity while incentives or voluntary commitment contracts are active. Other results show low take-up, mixed framing effects or limited persistence.
The research guide separates those findings from Mavlo’s exact product mechanism, which has not itself been tested in a clinical trial.
How these guides are reviewed
Every guide names its organisational author and product reviewer, publication date, review date and sources. Product claims are checked against current Mavlo rules; health guidance is framed as general information rather than personalised advice.
The library stays deliberately small. A topic is published only when it helps a prospective member make a better decision, not simply because a keyword exists.
